Dairy Crest and Clover

01 January 2011
We partnered with Dairy Crest in 1998 for three years raising £250,000 in life-saving funds.

This was achieved through a hugely successful on-pack promotion. Dairy Crest staff also undertook a variety of fundraising activities as well as supporting our events through sponsorship and gifts in kind.

On-Pack Promotion - Clover

Over a two month period consumers could send away for a free tub of clover and a Clover recipe booklet by collecting three proofs of purchase.

Dairy Crest donated 50p to us for each consumer application received.  The promotion was so successful in the first year, they ran it again for two subsequent years.

£200,000 was raised through the promotions. This was put towards the Lifeline Trust to develop a revolutionary new stem cell centre based at Southmeads Hospital Bristol.

Sponsorship

Dairy Crest were a key sponsor of The Amazing Great Children’s Party during our partnership. They donated thousands of drinks, yoghurts and cheese portions for the 6,000 picnic packs each year as well as hosting and sponsoring hugely popular entertainment.  They continued to donate products for the event in subsequent years.

Staff Fundraising

In May 2000, 10 members of staff from Crudgington, Davidstow and Head office completed a 260 mile bike ride from Holyhead to Southmeads Hospital in Bristol.

A number of fundraising events were also held at the Nantwich International cheese show in July to raise further funds for the charity.
