This marked the 23rd anniversary of our amazing, great day of fun for thousands of disabled, disadvantaged, leukaemic and seriously ill children.

Children came from far and wide to our party, the largest of its kind, and had a wonderful time on this hot and sunny day.

Clowns, circus acts, comic book heroes and other costume characters were all on hand to entertain our very important young guests.

Other attractions included live music, fairground rides, an ice rink, bouncy castles, face painting and a barbeque, plus lots of other lovely things to eat and drink.

The party wouldn't have been possible without the dedication and generosity of so many performers, our sponsors and an army of volunteers.

It was their time, effort and supplies of food, facilities and equipment that meant the children could put aside their troubles and have fun, even if it was just for the day.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped to make this such a lovely day for so many children.

Dame Judi Dench headed our appeal, asking you to donate £10 to sponsor a child to come to the party. You replied in your thousands.

Your donations not only made sure that the children had a tremendous day, but also funded vital research that will make a more lasting difference to children’s lives. Thank you for your support.

Thank you again to all of you who helped to make our party such a HUGE success.
