ARCH to ARC triumph for City firm to raise vital funds for Children with Cancer UK
Six members of staff from leading consultancy Navigant have completed a relay from London to Paris in a bid to raise £5,000 for charity Children with Cancer UK.
The team, comprising of Maxime Girard, Sarah Cannon, Becky James, Stephanie Joslin, Ibragim Goesjenov, Joseph Mcfarland and Graeme Buller, set off from Marble Arch, London, at 0830 BST on Friday 28th September and reached the Arc de Triomphe, Paris, at 0200 local time on Sunday 30th September. The team began the relay from London in fancy dress, including Sarah Cannon as Little Miss Chatterbox, the famous children's character, regularly seen at events including the London Marathon. Each member of the team ran for one hour stints (with a four hour break to cross the Channel).
Sarah Cannon, Director of Navigant said "Along the way, the team motivated each other and kept spirits high through banter and talk of food. We wore our Children with Cancer UK vests with pride and educated the local French villagers about our challenge. On Sunday we all had a great sense of achievement and pride to have been part of a successful challenge to raise money for CHILDREN with CANCER UK.'
CEO of Children with Cancer UK said "A huge well done to the whole team for a fantastic achievement, which has raised vital funds for Children with Cancer UK. Without such wonderful support we wouldn't be able to continue our research into the causes, prevention and treatment of childhood cancer and save young lives that otherwise would be lost forever."
