We are delighted to announce that Coral have yet again smashed their fundraising target by raising £1,500,000 for Children with Cancer UK.
Coral reached the £1m mark this summer - their original target was £500,000 which they reached in April. We are thrilled by how the partnership continues to flourish and engage Coral staff at every level.
We are delighted and extremely proud to have reached this hugely significant fundraising milestone - a figure that owes everything to the generosity and hard work of both our Coral colleagues and customers.
David Stevens, Coral’s Charity Committee This is a huge milestone for Coral and Children with Cancer UK. It is the most successful partnership both the company and charity have ever had.
The continued success is in no small part thanks to the fantastic support of individual shops and members of staff. They have been holding fundraisers, bake sales and raffles, and take on challenge events of all shapes and sizes.
In addition to this, the sale of Coral’s charity scratch cards continues to go from strength to strength, helping us to raise significat funds for our lifesaving research into childhood cancer.
David Stevens from Coral’s Charity Committee tells us:
"We are delighted and extremely proud to have reached this hugely significant fundraising milestone - a figure that owes everything to the generosity and hard work of both our Coral colleagues and customers. Every penny we raise makes such a difference to those that need the help Children with Cancer UK so brilliantly provides, and we will continue to raise even more as we enter the New Year."
The partnership is due to end in April 2016, and Coral and Children with Cancer UK are now working to reach the £2m milestone.
In that time, the team will be trekking Kilimanjaro, hosting our annual Bake Club and will be holding a football tournament for all staff, family and friends.
Thank you Coral, for all you continue to do to support our work and for the children who will benefit. We are so, so grateful.
