2019 Research Grant Call for Research into Childhood Cancer Treatment and Survival.

15 projects were awarded grants totalling £3,265,328

Children with Cancer UK invited proposals for research projects and clinical PhD studentships that addressed improved treatment for and survival from childhood and young person cancer and into improved quality of ongoing life.

The deadline for proposals passed on 5th April 2019. We received a total of 50 preliminary proposals for our 2019 Research Grant Call for Research into Childhood Cancer Treatment and Survival.

Following initial triage by our Scientific Advisory Panel, 31 applicants were invited to submit full proposals, which were assessed by external peer review. Our Scientific Advisory Panel for this grant call met on 26th & 27th February 2020 to review these applications. Present at the meeting were Dr Chris Halsey, Dr Lynley Marshall, Dr Nick Goulden and Professor Roderick Skinner, Chaired by Dr Owen Williams.
