We actively raise and invest money to fund specialist research to improve our understanding of childhood cancer and save the life of every child affected by it.
Children with Cancer UK is actively raising and investing money for vital specialist research.
Until every child survives their cancer diagnosis and gets to ring the end of treatment bell, we need to keep striving to find kinder and safer treatments.
Will you join us and wear the gold ribbon this Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to show your support for Children with Cancer UK?
Nieve had a Wilm’s tumour, a cancer of the kidney that mainly affects children. She quickly went from an apparently healthy little girl to being visibly sick. Thankfully, last September, during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Nieve celebrated the end of her treatment. Your support this September can make sure more children like Nieve can ring the bell and give more families that special day.
Nieve’s mum, Angie…
“Thanks to supporters like you, a year on Nieve continues to do well. Her hair is growing back wonderfully and she is making good progress at school.
Currently, Nieve is having three monthly scans to look for any signs of the disease returning, but for now, it is a small price to pay for having a healthy child. I want more families to be able to have a happy ending like mine and be in a position to say thank you. That is why I am wearing the gold ribbon today – to show that I won’t stop supporting visionary research into childhood cancers. Until every child survives”.
Every day in the UK, 12 children like Nieve are diagnosed with cancer. Let’s stand together, and wear the gold ribbon, in support of all the families whose cancer journey is still ongoing. Give today and receive your gold ribbon to show your support during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
