Who you are helping

For just £1 a ticket you can help fund visionary research into kinder and safer treatments for children like Lucy…

It is heart-breaking to watch your child go through cancer treatment, but throughout it all, Lucy fought her little heart out and her resilience and spirit were inspirational.

My little girl was diagnosed with a brain tumour at only seven months old, she was just a baby, but she had to spend seven months undergoing intensive treatment at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Our doctors were able to remove most of her tumour after two rounds of surgery, however some still remains today as they simply couldn’t reach it.

The cancer has had its effect on Lucy’s growing body, and the development of her speech and motor skills. However, today at seven years old my little girl is doing well, she is walking around unaided, though she still uses a walking aid at school and a pushchair when she gets tired.Despite everything Lucy is always very positive and I am such a proud mum.
