It is with great regret that we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Ball on Saturday 14 November.
The continued uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic has meant that we are unable to continue confidently in the organisation of the event. It still remains unclear whether large event gatherings will be permitted in November and our first priority is the safety of guests, performers and staff.
Due to COVID-19 and the postponement and cancellation of such events we are facing an income loss of more than 66% this year. We are working to resume our events and we look forward to welcoming you to our Ball on 13 November 2021.

A very special family were among the attendees of the Ball – with seven-year-old cancer survivor Suki, who finished treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in April this year, taking the stage to speak about her cancer journey.

Thank you to all of our valued guests and performers for supporting what was another spectacular Children with Cancer UK Ball! We are delighted to share that the event raised over £620,000 to help fight the injustice of cancer in children. Thank you.
Hosted by Irish comedian Dara Ó Briain and headlined by R&B legend Billy Ocean, the Ball saw around 800 guests, including reality TV queen Scarlett Moffatt, come together for a wonderful evening of gourmet cuisine, fundraising and entertainment in London’s largest ballroom at the stunning Grosvenor House Hotel.
Multi-award-winning music legend Billy Ocean performed hit songs ‘Caribbean Queen’ and ‘Love Really Hurts Without You’ at the incredible evening of entertainment which also featured a jaw-dropping performance from Britain’s Got Talent illusionist Marc (aka ‘X’) Spelmann and X Factor winner Joe McElderry who treated guests to a rendition of his greatest hits.
With a champagne reception, delicious three course dinner, exclusive auction items and contributions from a host of celebrity guests, this year’s event was a truly unforgettable evening.
