Just after his first birthday, Mason was diagnosed with an abdominal round cell soft tissue sarcoma. After numerous rounds of treatment, gruelling side-effects and various complications, he pulled through. Today, Mason is an active, happy, and healthy boy – who has now started full time nursery.

Mason seemed happy and healthy in January 2021. But everything changed when we found a small lump on his back, shortly after his first birthday. He was diagnosed with an abdominal round cell soft tissue sarcoma in May that year. He began chemotherapy straight away, before the diagnosis, due to the rapid growth of the lump. Doctors warned us that it was highly aggressive and fast dividing, which was alarming to hear. It dawned on us that there was no escape from the challenging journey ahead. But we embraced a positive mindset to cope with the uncertainty. If you can, please enter the Spring Grand Draw. I’ve experienced first-hand how cancer can impact the life of a young child. Your support will help other children like my son and their families. Thank you.
