Virtually the best party in town

Children with Cancer UK hosted two virtual parties for children affected by childhood cancer during the coronavirus lockdown period.

Not being able to physically meet up hasn’t stopped our special events team from putting on events for children with cancer and their families. On Wednesday 27 May, we held two virtual parties for children affected by cancer, hosted by Fairy Sparkles and Pirate Pete.

These parties kept children entertained with dancing, magic and games, including a scavenger hunt around the house, allowing the children to forget about lockdown, COVID-19 and cancer for a little while.

Tilly had a fantastic time thank you. She laughed so much, it was lovely to see.  I think what Tilly has missed recently is the planning and anticipation of an event. This last week she has practised her outfit and makeup two or three times before she decided what to wear. It was such a treat.  A huge thank you to Children with Cancer UK.

Thank you to all the families who joined in and we hope to see you again soon. We’d like to say a big thank you to StarDust Kids who helped us to spread some happiness in this lockdown period.
