Walking in memory of our friend

Walking in memory of our friend

Sophia, Molly, Emmeleine, Tilly, Dolcie, Elise, Lydia and Violet are a group of friends who have fundraised in memory of their friend, Megan, who devastatingly lost her life to cancer when she was just eleven years old.
When she passed away, she had been fighting cancer for over half her life. Megan was the most selfless and loving person I’ve ever met. I hope that the money we’ve raised will be able to help support other families who are fighting cancer.
Sophia Every year, Sophia and her friends raise money in memory of Megan by doing a bake sale. Although they could not do that this year, they still wanted to help in some way. They decided to a sponsored walk from Heatherdene to Belper over three days, raising over £1,000 for Children with Cancer UK. This was the same walk that Megan had done herself in 2013, also raising money for our charity. On behalf of everyone at Children with Cancer UK, we want to say a massive thank you to Sophia, Molly, Emmeleine, Tilly, Dolcie, Elise, Lydia and Violet who have all worked together to make a massive impact in memory of their friend, Megan. Because of fundraisers like this, we can continue to improve survival rates across all types of childhood cancer and support children and their families to live better with and after treatment.
