12 children and young people are still being diagnosed every day in the UK.
We are entirely reliant on generous supporters like you.
It’s hard to imagine what it must feel like being told your child has cancer. This is the sad reality for 4,500 families in the UK every single year.
Hear from some of these families as they deal with the devastating impacts of childhood cancer. We have followed and supported many families on their journeys, how their children were diagnosed with cancer, how they coped with early symptoms and battled through their cancer journey. Each child is an inspiration to us all. Whatever cancer may be currently affecting you and your family (leukaemia, neuroblastoma, hodgkin’s lymphoma…), these personal stories can help you better understand your situation, help give you companionship during this time and shed light on what could lay ahead.
Please use the filter to navigate through the cancer stories. E.g select Acute Myeloid Leukaemia to find stories on how families got to know their child had leukaemia.
Have you or a family member been affected by childhood cancer? Many of our supporters have been affected by childhood cancer – either through family, friends or their own personal experience. These stories can help inspire others to get involved with us, or can support our media work.
