Our Charity of the Year partnership with Igloo Books raised a staggering £100,500 throughout 2013-14 for Children with Cancer UK.
Igloo Books’ 90 employees raised money through various events such as a summer fete, Masquerade Ball, Halloween fundraising, Three Peaks Challenge and their biggest event, ‘One Big Effort’.

One Big Effort saw 30 participants cycling 180 miles from Paris to Calais, a row across the English Channel, a run from Dover to the capital before completing the London Marathon. This event was one of a kind and over the course of the week challenge, some of our team went to support them along the way.  See their fundraising story here www.childrenwithcancer.org.uk/Blog/one-big-effort-by-igloo-books

John Styring, MD at Igloo Books, commented: “Charity is very close to our hearts at Igloo, it’s a wonderful means of coming together and giving something back. Children with Cancer UK is a fantastic charity, and we’re motivated to try and raise as much for them as possible because we know how much good work they are doing. We are very much looking forward to working closely with the inspirational Children with Cancer UK team, and getting stuck into our fundraising activities.”

The staff were so engaged and enthusiastic. They raised over £100,000, smashing their target of £75,000 which is a fantastic achievement for any company let alone one with 100 staff!”
