Keeping families together

If you’re a family affected by childhood cancer, we’re here for you.

We hold lots of free events throughout the year for children affected by cancer and their families. Over the years, 75,000 guests have joined us at these amazing days out, which help families to create precious memories away from the hospital ward. Our events are also a great way for families to meet and form support networks with others who are going through similar experiences. If you’re a family affected by childhood cancer, we’d love to welcome you to one of our events soon.

Events for families

Amazing days out

Showtime at Zippos Circus

We have a longstanding relationship with Zippos Circus, who help us put on a very special event each year. Families enjoy a sensational and exclusive circus extravaganza with performances from acrobats, contortionists, foot jugglers and more. Families join us for a delicious post-show lunch where they can meet the stars of the show. With happy faces and full stomachs, the children go home with a goody bag to top off a fantastic day out at the circus.

Alton Towers

In 2019, we hosted a brand new day out at Alton Towers, where we were joined by 50 families at one of the UK’s top theme parks. All families received fast track wristbands for the day, meaning unlimited access to the rides with no queues! Alton Towers is home to thrill-seeking rides such as Wicker Man and Galactica, but there’s also plenty for younger ones including CBeebies Land, which is bursting with music, stories and adventure. All families receive a free lunch where the entertainment continues, with balloon modelling, face painting and magic.

Christmas parties

Christmas is a time to make precious memories as a family and our Christmas parties provide the perfect setting for this. We hold two Christmas parties, one at the Hard Rock Café in Manchester and one at the Hard Rock Hotel in London, where families are treated to delicious food and a meet and greet with the man of the moment – Father Christmas. With face painting, gingerbread decorating and Christmas presents for the children, it’s the perfect way to get into the spirit of Christmas as a family.
