We are now funding a total of 72 research projects, worth over £20 million across research centres of excellence, both in the UK and internationally.

Why do we need funding for our projects?

Cancer is the leading cause of death in children aged 1-14 years in the UK

health issues

Survivors can face a lifetime of serious health issues as a result of the intensive treatments used to treat their cancer

Childhood cancers are different to the cancers that occur in adults – dedicated research is needed

Children with Cancer UK is a member of the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) and supports the AMRC’s position statement on using animals in research. Read our Animal Research Position Statement.
