About the Great North Run

Run the Great North run for charity and experience iconic landmarks and an electric atmosphere as you pass through the streets of Newcastle upon Tyne and South Shields. With charity places for 2024 still available for the Great North Run, you can join over 55,000 other runners taking on the world-famous route on Sunday 8 September 2024. You’ll make your way through an unforgettable course with seafront views towards the end, before enjoying a well-deserved rest in the finish village

What to expect from Children with Cancer UK

You can be part of our Great North Run 2024 charity team whether you secure your own place independently of the charity or are allocated one of our charity places. When you join our team, you will receive the following support from us;

Regular emails and support from the Sports Events Team

Your own running top to wear with pride on the day

Lots of cheers from our cheer points around the course

Refreshments at the post-race charity village
