A thrilling day of prehistoric adventure for children with cancer

More than 100 children with cancer and their families kicked off the October half-term with a thrilling day at Jurassic World: The Experience at Battersea Power Station – a prehistoric adventure that they will never forget.
The special event was organised by national charity, Children with Cancer UK, with generous support from Jurassic World: The Experience, who closed the attraction exclusively for these families to enjoy a magical day together.
Jurassic World: The Experience is the first attraction to open at the brand-new NEON at Battersea Power Station visitor space. The experience brings one of cinema’s biggest blockbuster franchises to life, thrilling dinosaur fans of all ages with lifelike encounters and interactive adventures.
The children stepped into a prehistoric adventure, exploring two immersive floors of Jurassic World magic. Highlights included walking beneath a towering Brachiosaurus, stepping into a cutting-edge genetics lab, meeting Velociraptor Blue face-to-face, and coming within inches of the fearsome Tyrannosaurus rex. Families also got to interact with baby dinosaurs and examine real fossilised bones, making for a truly unforgettable experience.
Zunairah Mohammad, aged 12, was only two when she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), a fast-growing type of blood cancer that affects white blood cells. Her father, Ayaze, said:
We were really excited to have been given the opportunity for our whole family to come and experience the Jurassic World exhibition in Battersea Power Station. It is quite nice to come together and have a family outing with so much fun. Children with Cancer UK have supported us throughout our whole journey as a family and allowed Zunairah and her siblings to come together and create fun memories.
