Join our Pyjamarama

Get ready for an exciting day. We would love for your school, nursery or youth group to join our Pyjamarama day this academic year. By making a donation to wear their pyjamas to lessons and sessions, your children will help fund research into less toxic and kinder treatments for childhood cancer patients.

What is Pyjamarama all about?

Many children undergoing treatment will stay overnight in hospitals and their familiar pyjamas can be a great source of comfort. During recovery, families can go through multiple pairs of sleepwear in a short space of time as their child will spend most of their time in bed or on a sofa. By asking children to participate in Pyjamarama, you will raise awareness of childhood cancer and create a sense of solidarity as every child can relate to being in their pyjamas when unwell.

What activities can I do for my Pyjama Party?

Make your Pyjamarama even more special with one of these additional ideas:

Sports day: Do a sponsored sports day or any active activity in your pyjamas.

Organise a breakfast themed food sale: Sell food such as waffles, pancakes and cereal bars or even have breakfast for lunch!

Host a sponsored read-a-thon: Ask the children to bring in a selection of books and their sleeping bag/blanket to make a cosy reading environment. Ask for sponsorship per page that is read.

Plan a bedtime themed sale: Ask everyone to bring in a teddy and/or book for a ‘bring and buy’ sale.

Jesse, 11 – Nyewood CE Junior School

“We all loved being in our pjs for the day, it was so comfy! We had a cake and sweet sale too which everyone liked. My mum spoke to the whole school about why we were raising money to help kids like me get better. We raised £500 which was brilliant.”

Martha, 10 – Little Green Junior School

“It was fun to go into school in my pyjamas and see all my friends in theirs. We organised the day because it was interesting, and we were proud to raise money for children that spend a lot of time in their pyjamas. We hope it helped support children and their families.”

Young Person – Embrace Care

“I’m glad I can help these children because even though I am not a fortunate child these children are less fortunate as I have my health and I would like to help them.”

Cherry Lodge Childcare
