We are thrilled to announce that the headline act at our Children with Cancer UK Fundraising Gala sponsored by MFS, taking place on Wednesday 27 November 2024, is none other than multi-award winning, chart-topper Olly Murs. Olly rose to fame after taking part in the TV show X-Factor in 2009 and has had five number one albums and four number one singles – including huge hits ‘Troublemaker’, ‘Dance With Me Tonight’ and ‘Heart Skips A Beat’. Olly has previously supported the charity by surprising his fans Seb and Dulcie with personal messages during our ‘Heroes Against Cancer’ campaign. Olly regularly sells out UK arenas so this is an exceptionally rare chance to see him perform in an intimate venue.
This year the Gala will take place at one of the most prestigious locations in London, the Peninsula Hotel. Newly built and impeccably designed to harmonise with the surrounding heritage buildings, the venue is located on Hyde Park Corner and just steps away from Kensington Gardens.
The legendary Gala evening will include entertainment, superb culinary offerings, unrivalled service, prizes and plenty of magical moments in one extraordinary night of raising funds for our vital mission: to see a world where every child survives cancer.
The evening will start at 6.30pm with a sparkling drinks reception, followed by a three course dinner with wine and a live auction featuring many luxury prizes and money can’t buy experiences. We will also be announcing our fantastic entertainment for the night very soon.

When the O’Gorman family tragically lost two of their children to cancer, it launched a mission that we continue with to this day: to see a world where every child and young person survives cancer. As one of Britain’s leading charities devoted to research into the causes of and treatments for childhood cancers, our work has invested millions that has greatly improved the outcomes of the 4,200 children and young people a year who will face a cancer diagnosis.
Join us and help us to honour this legacy and keep doing this vital work.
