We are proud to work alongside Ultra Events to help raise money to fund life-saving research into childhood cancers and support our wellbeing activities for families of children and young people facing cancer.
Ultra Events bring people together to take part in amazing fundraising opportunities, such as UWCB, MMA, and Comedy events. When you take part in one of their events, you go through a life changing experience.
All participants must raise a minimum of £50 for Children with Cancer UK. You will also need to sell tickets to the event – all ticket money goes to cover the cost of running the event and putting on the training.

Craig from Barnsley took part in one of Ultra’s UWCB events in July 2024 and raised over £730 for Children with Cancer UK. Here is what he had to say about his challenge.
My children inspired me to push through my anxieties and pain to help others, especially thinking about kids suffering from cancer. This motivation led me to support Children with Cancer UK.
I’m thrilled to have raised more than I aimed for and to have performed better than I thought possible. The event and training, which I discovered through social media, have been life changing. It’s not just about personal growth; it has driven me to do even more for others and to make a bigger impact.
For anyone considering taking part, know that it’s hard work but incredibly rewarding. The Ultra experience is truly motivating and has given me a profound sense of purpose and achievement.
Rocco from Bournemouth took part in one of Ultra’s MMA events in November 2024 and raised £1,200 for Children with Cancer UK. Here is what he had to say about his challenge.
I chose Children with Cancer UK as my charity because it is one that hits closer to me personally, as having lost my cousin at a young age to leukaemia, it is amazing to see the work this charity does to help children with cancer to get better and support the families along the way.
Kieran from Exeter took part in one of Ultra’s MMA events in April 2025 and raised £1,045 for Children with Cancer UK. Here is what he had to say about his challenge.
The whole experience was amazing. Having the opportunity to get put through my paces with the eight weeks of tough training, and then to have hundreds of people, including close friends and family, watch you fight to raise money for charity is a memory that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
