Fundraiser of the Month: Manchester Youth Super League

Our Fundraiser of the Month for January 2026 goes to MYSL, who hosted their first ever Black Tie Ball Event in September to support us.

The challenge

With the goal of raising as much as possible for Children with Cancer UK, MYSL took on the challenge of hosting their first ever Black Tie Ball Event.

They chose to fundraise for us as childhood cancer is a cause close to them – they already had children in their football league who had gone through cancer.

The planning process for the event came with its challenges, but the response was phenomenal.

MYSL set their fundraising goal at £10,000 and absolutely smashed it, raising almost £20,000!

We couldn’t be doing what we’re doing, investing in research and supporting families, without our amazing fundraisers.

A massive thank you to MYSL for hosting this event to support children with cancer.

What would MYSL say to anyone else who is considering taking on a fundraising challenge?

Go for it, be realistic, don’t over achieve and then everything is a bonus, but most of all have fun!
