Children with Cancer UK, the leading childhood cancer charity in the UK, is set to host its research conference “Embracing Research and Impact”, taking place on 24-25 November 2025 at Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre, Birmingham.
Every day in the UK, 10 children and young people receive a cancer diagnosis. These children face gruelling treatments that can last for years and often come with long-term side-effects that may significantly impact their lives forever. Children with Cancer UK’s research conference aims to tackle these challenges by driving collaboration and innovation to improve outcomes for young cancer patients.
Children with Cancer UK is the leading national charity dedicated to improving survival rates and quality of life for young cancer patients. The charity funds vital research across the country with the aim of creating a world where every child survives cancer.
This two-day event will bring together leading researchers, clinicians, healthcare professionals, early career researchers, funders, and patient advocates from across the childhood cancer sector. Attendees will share their latest findings, discuss emerging trends, and explore innovative treatment strategies that are improving outcomes for children and young people affected by cancer.
The conference will feature keynote presentations from four internationally recognised experts in paediatric, teenage, and young adult cancers:
These speakers will present progress from their research projects and engage in discussions with attendees.
Gavin Maggs, CEO at Children with Cancer UK, said:
Our research conference brings together academics, clinicians, industry experts, and patient families to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and explore the latest groundbreaking research funded by Children with Cancer UK. From flagship projects to early career researchers, this event reflects our commitment to put families at the heart of everything we do.
Researchers are invited to submit abstracts for poster presentations and oral presentations. Submissions will be reviewed by the Conference Committee, and awards will be given in recognition of outstanding contributions.
