Fundraiser of the Month: Izzy

Our Fundraiser of the Month for April 2026 goes to the amazing Izzy, who set up a Children’s Cancer Cupcake Fundraiser.

“Remember, it’s the collective effort of people around the world that creates change.”

Izzy set a personal challenge for herself. She knew how common cancer is and that even children can be diagnosed with it. Determined to raise £300 to make a difference in these children’s lives, she baked a selection of delicious cupcakes for her Children’s Cancer Cupcake Fundraiser.

The challenge wasn’t easy. At times, Izzy found it stressful and challenging but kept going out of sheer determination to raise as much money as possible. What helped her along the way was reminding herself why she started the fundraiser in the first place. All this effort and perseverance paid off, and Izzy beat her fundraising target by £200, raising an incredible £500.

That’s £500 that will go to fund developing better treatments and supporting survivors. We couldn’t be doing what we’re doing, investing in research and supporting families, without our amazing fundraisers. Thank you, Izzy!

What would you say to anyone else who are considering taking on a fundraising challenge?

I would encourage anyone considering a fundraising challenge to go for it and push themselves. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that you’re making a real difference and helping people in need.

Remember, it’s the collective effort of people around the world that creates change. Even a small contribution can have a big impact when combined with others doing the same thing. What might seem like a small amount can grow into something powerful—raising thousands and helping provide vital treatment for those who need it most.

Taking on a challenge isn’t just about fundraising, it’s also about being part of something bigger and making a positive difference in the world.
