When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the whole family often faces extraordinary challenges. This special trip has been created to give families the opportunity to relax, reconnect, and enjoy precious time together.

Set amongst the snow-covered forests and magical winter landscapes of Finnish Lapland, this experience offers more than just a getaway. It is a chance for families to create lasting memories, share moments of joy and wonder, and simply enjoy being together in one of the most enchanting places on Earth. We hope the trip will provide happiness, laughter, and treasured memories that will stay with families long after they return home.

What can I expect?

We will meet at Stansted Airport on the morning of 27th December, before flying to the beautiful city of Rovaniemi, in the heart of Finnish Lapland.

During your stay, you’ll enjoy a range of magical winter experiences, including a visit to Snowman World, exciting husky rides, the chance to meet reindeer, fun snow games, and, of course, a special visit to Santa Claus. Please note that some activities are subject to weather conditions and may be adjusted if necessary.

Accommodation will be provided, ensuring your family has a comfortable and welcoming place to relax and enjoy this unforgettable experience together.

Important information

Travel documents and insurance

You are responsible for arranging and paying for:

Valid passports for all travellers
Any required visas
Comprehensive travel insurance covering all members of your party

Children with Cancer UK will not cover travel insurance. We strongly recommend obtaining full cover before travel.

Health and medical needs

A first aider will be travelling on the flight with us. However, as a parent or guardian, you take full responsibility for the health and safety of your party.

If anyone in your party has medical needs or health concerns, you must:

Be prepared to supervise and care for your own family at all times
Confirm that you are medically fit to travel
Tell us about any medications or support you may need

The trip is non-exchangeable

This trip cannot be exchanged for cash, alternative dates, alternative holidays, or any other compensation. This is a fixed excursion for the dates 27–28 December 2026 to Rovaniemi, Finland.

The draw

The opportunity to enter will close at 17:00 on 22nd September 2026.
We expect this trip to be incredibly popular. As such, we will use the below form to randomly select families.
You will have 10 working days to confirm your acceptance and provide the names and dates of birth of all four travellers
If we cannot reach you by phone, or if you decline the place, we may select another family.
