Alton Towers Adventures

Our special outings and events for children with cancer and their families provide a memorable day out and a much needed break from treatments and hospital visits.

Unlimited access to the rides

On 5 October 2019, we hosted a brand new day out for children affected by cancer and their families. We were were joined by over 200 guests for a VIP day at Alton Towers, one of the UK’s top theme parks. Guests enjoyed unlimited access to the rides with the added bonus of having fast track wristbands – they were able to beat the queues and hop straight onto the rides. Families sparked their adrenaline on rides such as Wicker Man and Galactica, and younger children explored CBeebies Land, which was bursting with music, stories and adventure. Our Alton Towers Adventure took place during ScareFest, Alton Towers’ spooktacular Halloween event. Families embraced the theme in their wonderfully scary costumes, and our fantastic face painters were on hand to help transform them.

Lunch in the Hospitality Suite

Everyone joined us for lunch in The Hospitality Suite, where they were entertained by exciting magic and balloon modelling. This was one of the first events we have hosted in this area of the UK, so it was fantastic to see so many new faces. It also gave families the opportunity to meet other families who have been through similar experiences to them. Thank you to all who joined us and helped to make it a truly special day out! Thank you for a fantastic day at Alton Towers. We had a great time and the Fast Track saved a lot of waiting which was an added bonus. It was such a lovely event, you should be proud of your achievement in making so many deserving families happy. Michelle, Mum of Darli We all had an awesome time yesterday at Alton towers especially my son Nikam who is now a theme park convert. We think you’re all fantastic & can’t thank you enough. Yvonne, Mum of Nikam I literally cannot thank you enough for yesterday. My family had smiles from ear to ear we really enjoyed ourselves so much. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Tara, Mum of Tyler  I just wanted to say a big thank you for our day at Alton Towers yesterday. We had such a fun day and it was so well organised. Days like this are so precious and allow you to regroup as a family, and remind us how precious family time is. Tracey, Mum of Emma Just wanted to say a massive thank you for organising such a fantastic day out for us at Alton Towers.  We had a brilliant time. Lucy loved CBEEBIES land – we’ve never been before! Having the fast track passes worked brilliantly for us. It meant we could get Lucy to experience some rides she would probably have lost her nerve with if we’d had to queue for ages. The lunch was lovely and the balloon modelling and face painting was an added bonus. We are really grateful for the invitation. Sarah, Mum of Lucy
