Super Science Slimy Party

On Sunday 16 May, we held a virtual science party with Einstein’s Entertainers for children affected by cancer and their families.

40 families signed up to join the Zoom party for 45 minutes to play party games and get involved in fun scientific experiments. A few of the experiments included slime making and helicopter making. All of the children received a mini home lab kit in the post which had everything they needed to take part in the experiments and get involved in the fun. Lin-Marie, Mum of Beatrix told us:
Thank you so much. The children had a wonderful time and I shared the images with my eldest’s school for their newsletter next week. We always LOVE your events. Thank you.
Anne-Marie, Mum of Noah told us:
What an epic amazing fun party. We thought he was so funny and our son just loved every minute. Thanks so much.

A message from Professor Peewee

We had such fun at our virtual slime workshop with you all yesterday, I don’t think anyone will ever be able to eat a strawberry lace the same way again after our strawberry lace races. Thank you to everyone for joining us and of course to the wonderful team at Children with Cancer UK for organising the party. I think our favourite bit was seeing all your dance moves in our bubble disco and seeing everyone’s fantastic slime making skills. I think we might have lots of future professors on that call yesterday. Don’t forget there are loads more experiments you can do at home on our YouTube page. Hope to see you all soon. Professor Peewee
Thank you to all the families who joined in from home and we hope to see you again soon. If you are interested in our events for families affected by childhood cancer, you can find out more on our Keeping families together page.
