Virgin Money Giving – Online Fundraising Help

Whether you’re holding a coffee morning, running a marathon, trekking in the Sahara or raising money in memory of a loved one, an online fundraising page can help! We’ve teamed up with Virgin Money Giving to make your fundraising simple. Set up a fundraising page today and raise vital funds to fight childhood cancer.

What is Virgin Money Giving?

Virgin Money Giving is an excellent online fundraising website which allows you to quickly set up a fundraising page so friends and family can easily help you reach your fundraising goals, leaving you more time to concentrate on the event.

Virgin Money Giving is 100% not-for-profit, meaning we get a much higher percentage of the donations compared to any other fundraising platform. They’re also the official fundraising website of the London Marathon and therefore one of the most well known and trusted fundraising platforms.

Follow the steps below to create a Virgin Money Giving page and start fundraising!

Customise & share!

Now, it's time to set a fundraising target and tell the story of why you're raising money! Customise your page with images, text and more, then share the link to social media to spread the word and start collecting donations!

Why should I do my fundraising online?

Collecting donations online makes it easier for you to raise sponsorship and for us to receive your collections. Here are just some of the benefits that online donations can bring:

  • Collect donations at any time through your link, even after your event has passed, cutting out the admin for you. At the end of the donation period, the platform automatically sends the funds you’ve raised through to us
  • You can use your own photos and text to personalise your page and explain why you’re raising money
  • Keep track of progress with email notifications of new donations/pledges. Donors also receive an email receipt to be sure of how much they’ve given
  • Donors can easily add Gift Aid to their donations, increasing their value by 25% at no extra cost you or them
  • If you have any pledges, the platform will email a reminder to your supporters so that they can donate online with a credit or debit card. Let the website do the chasing!
  • If your supporters donate by cheque or cash, you can update your page to stop any more reminder emails being sent
  • Easily send a message to thank all of your donors and tell them how much they have helped to raise

If you have any queries about setting up your online fundraising page, please contact our Sports and Community team on 020 7404 0808 or email us on sportsandcommunity@childrenwithcancer.org.uk. Good luck with your fundraising!
