#Hugs4Xmas

It’s that time of the year when families get together to celebrate, share gifts and enjoy each others company. Whilst it may feel like these times will last forever, it’s crucial to treasure the time we have with our loved ones. Unfortunately, for families affected by cancer, a normal Christmas spent at home, free of worry, may be difficult to find.

What’s #Hugs4Xmas?

Our #Hugs4Xmas campaign focuses on those special moments between loved ones in which they are thankful for the time they have with each other. Whether you’re a parent helping a child through cancer treatment or your loved one is in remission. Let us know why your hug with those close to you is so important this Christmas by posting on social media with the hashtag #Hugs4Xmas. Be sure to tag Children with Cancer UK in your post!

Raise money with Facebook fundraisers

Facebook gives you the opportunity to share your fundraising activity with your friends to help raise more money for a cause you care about. The process is straightforward and it’s a brilliant way to encourage others to donate! See our instructions below to get started.

How to make your fundraiser successful

Worried you won’t be able to raise as much as you hoped? Worry no more! We’ve got some straightforward advice to help you achieve your goals:

Post regularly regarding your fundraiser

This is the simplest way to spread the word. Make sure you include a link to the fundraiser in the post by copying the URL from the page or sharing directly from your fundraiser. Also, it’s important to mention why you’re raising money and why other people should care.

Invite people to your fundraising page

When on your fundraising page, click on the invite button and select the friends that you would like to contribute.

Message people directly

Only a portion of your friends will be online at the right times to see your posts. Sending messages, detailing why you’re raising money with a link to the page can have a big impact on your success.
