No more Christmases with Cancer. That’s our wish, will you make it yours?

With only 2% of UK cancer funding going to childhood cancers, we need your help to ensure every child can enjoy Christmas cancer-free. Your gift today can help fund life-saving research – that gives children a future, and families hope.

Cancer was a part of Kira’s Christmases for eight years…

“It was there in the missed family dinners, the worry behind every smile, and the question that haunted us: Will she be with us next year?” Kira’s mum, Aud, told us.

Kira was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2014, at just 11 years old. She endured high-dose chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, four major surgeries, radiotherapy, and more. Despite it all, she relapsed eight times.

After proton beam therapy failed, Kira was one of the first children in the UK to receive SMPaeds Serial Blood Testing.

Jointly funded by Children with Cancer UK and Cancer Research UK, it’s a new way of tracking tumours through simple blood tests. It meant doctors could see how targeted treatment was affecting Kira’s cancer, and when they needed to supplement with other treatments like chemoimmunotherapy.

Six months later, her tumour became inactive

This Christmas, Kira is 22. Her scans show no evidence of active disease. She’s alive – and thriving – because of research, and because of kind people like you who chose to help fund it.

2 in 10 children with cancer still don’t survive. Yet, just 2% of cancer research funding in the UK goes to childhood cancer projects

That’s why every £1 you give matters.

You fund breakthroughs that wouldn’t happen without donations – giving more children the chance to grow up, and more families the hope of cancer-free Christmases.

This Christmas, please donate to make wishes come true
