Fundraiser of the Month: Festive Stravaart Reindeer routes

Why did the club choose Children with Cancer UK?

Why would you not want to. I ran the virtual London Marathon for Children with Cancer UK during lockdown and loved the group support.

How did the event go?

It’s going great so far. I’ve joined a few run groups and friends taking on one of the reindeer and doing a lot of the promoting/re-sharing on Instagram and Strava.

It also made the local online paper, so I’m hoping this will help to reach a larger audience I’ve not been able to tap into

What would you say to anyone else who is considering taking on a fundraising challenge?

Do not hesitate. Charities need as much support as possible particularly at this time. It’s been an amazing experience for me personally and I’ve learned a few skills and made friends.

By encouraging runners to run his routes, Simon has so far raised an amazing £979 for Children with Cancer UK’s work, which will help us invest in more life-saving childhood cancer research. We’d like to say a huge thank you for your support – it is only thanks to supporters like you that we can continue our work.

If you would like to raise money in aid of Children with Cancer UK, we’ll help you every step of the way.  Start fundraising today
