LAPLAND TRIP COMPETITION

1. The Prize

  • Prize description: Four seats on Titan Airways flight departing from London Stansted on 27 December 2026 and returning 28 December 2026 to Rovaniemi, Finland. Transport in Finland – to and from Rovaniemi airport is also included.
  • Included in the prize: Return flights, accommodation in one hotel room with breakfast, lunch and dinner provided plus entry to meet Santa Claus.
  • Non-exchangeable: The prize is not exchangeable for cash, alternative dates, alternative destinations, or any alternative holiday or compensation.
  • Prize provider: Titan Airways is the flight and holiday provider. Children with Cancer UK is the promoter of this competition.
  • Flight Arrangement: Private charter provided by Titan Airways
  • Activities: Snowman World, Rautiosaari Lapland experience, husky rides, reindeer, snow games, Santa Claus visit.
  • Accommodation: Academy Hotel Kemijärvi or suitable alternative

2. Eligibility

  • Who can enter: UK residents only, aged 18 or over. If you enter from outside the UK, you will not be included in the draw and monies can’t be returned.
  • Party composition: The winning party must comprise 1–4 people consisting of: (a) at least one adult (aged 18+) who is a parent or legal guardian of any accompanying children; (b) up to three children aged 6-14 on of before the 28 December 2026.
  • Adult-to-child ratio: No more than two (2) adults in the party. Adults must not outnumber children (e.g., 2 adults and 2 children is permitted; 3 adults and 1 child is not). There is a maximum of 1:2 adult to child ratio.
  • Travel requirement: All entrants must confirm they are able to travel to London Stansted for departure.
  • Incompatible roles: The winner’s immediate family members who are staff or officers of Children with Cancer UK are not eligible to enter. Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of anyone directly involved in promoting the campaign are excluded

3. How to enter

  1. Online entry: A £30 donation or more, and by checking the entry tick box. Please note that entry isn’t automatic for data protection compliance and therefore must be opted into.
  2. Postal entry donation form: By retuning the TOO Big donation form sent directly to participants via mail. Entry by post. Postal must be paid by the participant. If entries are received with insufficient postage, they will not be accepted.
  3. Telephone: By calling and donating at least £30 on 0800 222 9000. Our offices are open 9am-5.00pm, Monday-Friday. Please quote TOO Big Lapland competition for entry.
  4. Postal entry (free alternative): Send your entry to Children with Cancer UK. TOO BIG Competition: Lapland, Third floor, 21-27 Lamb’s Conduit Street, Holborn, London, WC1N 3NL.Your entry must include: your full name, contact phone number, contact address, and the keyword 2BIGWIN;. One postal entry per household only. Postal entries must arrive before 23:59 (UK time) on 31 July 2026.
  5. Text entry: Text the keyword 2BIGWin; to 70422. Each text costs £2.00 plus your standard network rate. One entry per text message. Text entries must be received before 23:59 (UK time) on 31 July 2026.
  6. Multiple entries: Entrants may submit both a text entries and a postal entry (one free postal entry per household), but each text entry is separate and costs £2.00 plus your standard network charge.
  7. No purchase necessary (postal route): The postal entry route provides a free entry method and complies with UK competition regulations. The text entry method is an alternative, premium-rate entry at £2.00 per text.

4. The Draw

  • Random selection: The winner will be selected at random using a random number generator by Children with Cancer UK.
  • Draw date and time: The draw will take place on 28 August 2026 at 13:00 
  • Winner notification: The winner will be contacted by telephone within 10 working days of the draw. Only the phone number provided in the entry will be used for contact.
  • Acceptance period: The winner must confirm their acceptance of the prize and provide full party details (names and dates of birth of all four passengers) within 10 working days of being notified. Failure to confirm acceptance within this period will result in forfeiture of the prize.
  • Unable to contact: If the winner cannot be reached by telephone after three attempts, or if they decline the prize, the promoter reserves the right to draw a new winner or donate the prize to a family with lived experience of childhood cancer. The original winner forfeits all rights to the prize.
  • Evidence: Children with Cancer UK may require participants to provide evidence to verify their eligibility – for example age and location. 
  • Winner: The first entry drawn at random for all eligible entries will win the prize 
  • Failing a DBS check: The winners may be required to do a DBS check. If declined by the prize winner Children with Cancer UK and Titan Airways hold the right to withdraw the price.  

Children with Cancer UK is not liable for technical errors, entries lost in the post or by email, or unforeseen events beyond our control. 

5. Prize Acceptance and Conditions

  • Prize donation option: If the winner declines the prize, they may choose to donate it back to Children with Cancer UK to enable another family with lived experience of childhood cancer to benefit.
  • Unfilled seats: If the winning party cannot fill all four seats, the winner must notify Children with Cancer UK as soon as possible. The promoter may, at its discretion, allow the winner to proceed with a smaller party or reallocate unused seats.
  • No seat transfer: Prize seats are non-transferable. All passengers named in the acceptance must travel on the flight unless a cancellation/withdrawal arrangement is agreed in writing with the promoter.
  • Party composition must remain valid: The final party must continue to comply with eligibility requirements (i.e., correct adult-to-child ratio and age requirements) at the time of travel.

6. Travel Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Travel documents: All passengers are responsible for ensuring they hold valid travel documents for travel to Finland. This includes passports (valid for the duration of travel) and any required visas. Children with Cancer UK and Titan Airways accept no liability for denied boarding or entry due to invalid or missing documents.
  • Travel insurance: All passengers must arrange and pay for their own comprehensive travel insurance before departure. Travel insurance is not included in the prize. Children with Cancer UK and Titan Airways accept no liability for medical expenses, repatriation, or other costs incurred during the trip without adequate insurance.
  • Medical fitness to travel: Any party member with medical needs, disabilities, or health concerns must confirm in writing that they are medically fit to travel on this trip and that they understand any risks. Medical confirmation must be provided within the acceptance period.
  • First responder on board: A first responder will be present on the flight, but the parent/guardian takes full responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of their own children and themselves. The first responder is not a substitute for parental care or supervision.
  • Parental responsibility: Parents/guardians must ensure they are able to supervise their children at all times during the trip. Children with Cancer UK and Titan Airways accept no liability for accidents, injuries, loss, or damage involving the winner or their party.
  • Behaviour expectations: All passengers must comply with Titan Airways conditions of carriage and all applicable laws in Finland. Any passenger behaving dangerously, disruptively, or illegally may be denied boarding or removed from the flight, with no monies or alternative accommodation provided.

7. Age Requirements

  • Child age assessment: Children must be aged 12 or under on 28 December 2026 (the return date of the flight). Age is assessed as at 00:00 on 28 December 2026.
  • Proof of age: Winners may be required to provide birth certificates or other proof of age for all children in the party to verify compliance with age requirements.

8. Liability and Disclaimers

  • No liability of promoter: The promoter Children with Cancer UK is not responsible for: the quality or nature of the prize once provided by Titan Airways; flight delays, cancellations, or disruptions; loss, damage, or personal injury during travel; acts of force majeure; or decisions made by Titan Airways or accommodation providers.
  • No liability of Titan Airways: By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that Titan Airways is not liable for any aspect of the prize other than the provision of flights and accommodation as specified, and accepts all standard terms and conditions of Titan Airways.
  • Indemnity: The winner indemnifies and holds harmless the promoter, Titan Airways, and all partners and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or costs arising from the winner’s participation in the competition or use of the prize.
  • Exclusion of liability: The promoter shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or related to this competition, the prize, or the trip.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

  • Data collection: Entry data (name, phone number, address) is collected for the purposes of running this competition and contacting the winner.
  • Data processor: Children with Cancer UK is the data controller. Text entries are processed by Cymba (https://www.cymba.co.uk) . Data will be held securely and processed only for competition purposes.
  • Privacy policy: Entrant’s personal data will be processed in accordance with Children with Cancer UK privacy policy, available at https://www.childrenwithcancer.org.uk/privacy-policy. By entering, entrants consent to the processing of their data as described.
  • Data retention: Personal data will be retained for 12 months following the conclusion of the competition, then securely deleted unless longer retention is required by law.
  • Children’s data: If the winner has children, additional data (child names and dates of birth) will be collected during the acceptance phase for the purposes of booking flights and accommodation. This will be processed in accordance with UK GDPR and data protection laws.

10. Promotion and Publicity

  • Use of information: The promoter may announce the winner’s name and location in publicity materials, on social media, on the charity website, or in press releases, unless the winner specifically requests confidentiality.
  • Photographs and testimonials: The winner and party members may be invited to participate in promotional photography or provide testimonials about their experience. Participation is voluntary. The promoter will respect requests for anonymity or restricted use of images.

11. General Terms

  • No legal or financial advice: Entrants should seek their own legal or financial advice regarding tax implications, travel insurance, or other matters relating to this prize.
  • Force majeure: In the event of war, civil unrest, pandemic, natural disaster, or other circumstances beyond the control of Children with Cancer UK or Titan Airways, Children with Cancer UK reserves the right to cancel or postpone the competition or prize, or to provide an alternative prize of equivalent value.
  • Right to cancel: Children with Cancer UK reserves the right to cancel or suspend this competition if it becomes unlawful, impossible, or impractical to proceed, or if there is evidence of fraud, abuse, or misconduct.
  • Right to disqualify: Children with Cancer UK reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who: (a) breaches these terms and conditions; (b) provides false or misleading information; (c) engages in fraudulent activity; or (d) acts against the spirit of fair competition.
  • Dispute resolution: Any disputes arising from this competition will be resolved in accordance with English law and the English courts. The promoter and entrant agree to seek resolution through the relevant UK alternative dispute resolution mechanisms before proceeding to formal legal action.
  • Return of funds: We can’t return funds given due to wrongful entry e.g. from outside the UK.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
