Clubs and Associations fundraising for childhood cancer research
Whether you are part of a golf club, drama society or anything in between, we would love for you to fundraise for Children with Cancer UK. We will be on hand to support you with your fundraising throughout the year, offering fundraising materials, ideas and any advice you may need.
Every club that chooses to support us will receive the following:
- A fundraising pack
- Fundraising materials such as bunting and balloons to display at your events
- Regular contact with a Community Fundraising team member to help you with your fundraising throughout the year
- Charity updates to share with your network and inspire donations
Charity of the year
If you would like to support Children with Cancer UK on campus please nominate us for your RAG charity of the year. We would support you every step of the way, offering materials and guidance to help with your fundraising.

Why support us?
Over the past 35 years we have collaboratively funded over 300 research projects and seen survival rates grow from 67% to 85.2%* with fewer toxic side effects, whilst supporting children facing cancer and their families, both emotionally and financially. However, cancer is still one of the biggest causes of death in children under the age of 15.
*Office of National Statistics (ONS) Childhood cancer survival in England: children diagnosed from 1990 to 2014 and followed up to 2015 and Cancer survival in England: adult, stage at diagnosis and childhood – patients followed up to 2018.
Club fundraising ideas
- Raffle: organise a raffle with donated prizes – get your club to donate a free session, meal or merchandise, you could even raffle off your captain’s parking space
- Quiz night: test everyone’s knowledge with a quiz night and include a round on your club’s history or interests
- Captain’s Day: hold a captain’s day which could include a meal. Not forgetting to include fundraising opportunities such as captain’s bunker, nearest the pin and longest drive
- Put on a show: if you are part of a choir or theatre company, why not put on a show and donate some of the ticket proceeds or have a collection on the night
