Our 100 mile family cycling challenge

Our 100 mile family cycling challenge

Originally looking to complete 100km, Izzy-Mae and her dad have now cycled 100 miles in just four weeks for Children with Cancer UK.
My aunt was battling terminal lung cancer and was very poorly when she asked Izzy-Mae to fundraise to help Children with Cancer UK. She still remembered her first day at hospital where she met a very special little boy, who was about four years old, gave her a smile, thumbs up and a special message of “it gets better” as she started her chemotherapy. She was very grateful for the life she has lived and appalled that such a horrible disease can affect children so young who have not yet had a chance to live a life. Very sadly, she passed away before Izzy-Mae completed her challenge.
Richard, Izzy-Mae’s dad Izzy-Mae has raised over £1,750, and completed her challenge on the 6th September. Richard staged a socially-distanced finish line for her with all their family and friends to clap her home and award her a medal. We want to say a huge thank you to both Richard and Izzy-Mae for their incredible work fundraising, helping us continue helping children and young people with cancer.
