Head of Research

Contract: Full Time 

Location:  London

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)

Reporting to: CEO

Contract type: Permanent

At Children with Cancer UK, our vision is a world where every child and young person survives cancer.

The Charity have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Research Role to oversee the operations and strategic development of research activities at the organisation.

You will work independently in this role to oversee the delivery of research funding calls, develop the charity’s Research Strategy, expand research programs and work with external senior members of the community.

The post holder should have a strong understanding of the UK biomedical research environment.

The Research Team is pivotal to ensuring that research funded by Children with Cancer UK is at the forefront of the children and young person’s cancer research area. You will have the opportunity to be at the cutting edge of cancer research in children and young people and work closely with members of the scientific community, surrounded by people working towards the same mission.

The post-holder will be responsible for line managing 2-3 members of the Research Team, providing them with support and identifying areas and opportunities for them to expand and develop their experience and skillset.

Senior Sports and Community Manager

Contract: 12 months FTC (Maternity Cover)

Location: Hybrid – Minimum of 3 days a week working in the office (21-27 Lamb’s Conduit Street, London, WC1N 3NL) and 2 days working from home

Reporting to: Head of Public Fundraising

Direct reports: 1x Sports Events Manager; 1x Community Manager

Salary range: £43,000 – £48,000 (based on experience)

Role

To oversee the Sports and Community events team, developing and diversifying each department, maintaining a high standard of relationship fundraising, managing and setting team’s yearly budgets with the Head of Public Fundraising.

Digital Marketing Officer                                

Contract: 3-6 months FTC

Salary range: Competitive salary

Role

The Digital Marketing Officer will support the charity’s digital communications across social media, PPC, email, and website platforms. This role is pivotal in driving engagement, growing audiences, and amplifying the charity’s impact through compelling content and strategic campaigns.
